MEDIT Mastery: From Scanning to 3D Printing

Join Dr Andrew Ip for a full-day hands-on course designed to help dentists unlock the full potential of digital dentistry using the MEDIT ecosystem. This practical program will guide participants through the complete digital workflow — from intraoral scanning through to design applications and 3D printing.

Through live demonstrations and step-by-step guidance, attendees will learn how to capture accurate scans, utilise MEDIT Apps to streamline everyday clinical tasks, and understand the workflow required to produce printable dental applications efficiently and safely.

The course is structured in three progressive sections:

First Movement: Intraoral Scanning

• Tips and tricks for efficient scanning
• Basic scanning techniques and functions to improve accuracy and workflow

Second Movement: Medit Apps

• Creating digital models in under 5 minutes
• Designing simple splints in seconds
• Easy CAD workflows using ClinicCAD
• Understanding surgical guide design and applications
  

Third Movement: 3D Printing Finale

• Complete workflow: print, wash, and cure
• Safe handling of printing materials and practical implementation in practice

This course is ideal for dentists looking to integrate digital workflows into their clinic, improve efficiency, and expand their in-house capabilities with scanning, design, and 3D printing technologies.

What to Bring: Participants need to bring a laptop (including a mouse) with MEDIT Link installed, including MEDIT Model builder, Splints, ClinicCAD, and Design.

Dr Andrew Ip is a Sydney-based general dentist with a special interest in digital dentistry and dental 3D printing. What began as a hobby has evolved into a global passion, with Dr Ip presenting internationally across the US, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, and Australia. He has worked with over 40 printers and produced a wide range of dental applications—from simple models to zirconia printing—and regularly teaches dentists and technicians how to successfully integrate additive technologies into their practices.
